Snowflake A1173354 behavior explanation
Snowflake is cage-shy, which means she's scared of being in the kennel, afraid of being alone. I've seen it first hand, even in the grooming salon. When such dogs are out of the cage/kennel, they relax immediately. Don't let Snowflake's fear be her death sentence! Give her a chance by not turning your back when you visit the shelter.

Are You Friggin' KIDDING Me?
Hey, this is to the editors of the Philadelphia Daily News who gave their photographers and graphics department the OK to run today's front page headline. A picture of Vick on the field with the words "Top Dog" superimposed in bold letters. You sensationalist pieces of pond scum. You knew taking this action would infuriate the animal lovers in this city, that your take on this would be viewed as a completely insensitive slap in the face, a totally tasteless commentary on the state of "athletes" these days. You KNEW we would be furious, and you decided to trample all over our ideals anyway. Well, screw you and your publication.. I will never shell out my money for your paper, not that I did to begin with - you've just effectively guaranteed no future sales as far as I'm concerned.
Andy Reid is an idiot - Micheal Vick is a felon, a criminal who repeatedly tortured, fought and killed dogs over a span of several years. Yes, he did his time for that.. But he doesn't deserve the accolades these rabid Eagles fans have been giving him. And for you, the crazed football hicks in this city who keep telling me "he deserves a second chance, he did his time, let it go." You, who can't seem to get the facts straight when you tell me he was never found guilty of actually laying a hand on any of those dogs, while it's been public knowledge he admitted to doing just that (only after his friends gave him up.) To you, I give an epic middle finger... I flip you the biggest bird you've ever seen. Indeed Michael Vick is the equivalent of that - Philly's biggest flipped bird, not the "top dog" everyone's been making him out to be.

Wow, early in the morning I'm due to start grooming academy. After all this time I'm finally gonna be doing something worthwhile, getting more hours in a fulltime shift and subsequently making decent money in the process. I'll finally be able to get the important things back in my life.

Pensacola, FL ~2 DOGS STARVED TO DEATH IN CRATES IN GARAGE 6/22! OMG! I went to the Escambia Co. Sheriff's Office this morning to get the police reports, not knowing the details of why 2 people were arrested for Third Degree FELONY Animal Cruelty Charges. I was horrified to read the report. From the police report: “As we exited our vehicles and began to approach the house we smelled a strong odor that seemed to be emanating from the house….I shined my flashlight inside (the garage) and observed 3 wire kennels and inside two of them I observed what appeared to be 2 dead and decomposing dogs. One of the animals had been decomposed to the point that I was able to see bare ribs.”

Parvo Puppies in Dire Need
I have posted this all over my Facebook page: This is a chip-in for my very dear friend Sherrie Brinn Green in Cape May, NJ. Last night she found out the litter of puppies she rescued recently from Robeson County, NC animal shelter has Parvo, after rushing the two most dire pups to an after-hours emergency vet clinic who told her that it would cost $2500 per pup...py to keep and fully treat them. Since she didn't have the money, she took them back home, after these two got injections and some meds. First thing this morning she called her regular vet to find out how much it would be to treat them there. After hours of waiting for a return call, she called them again and was told her regular vet would not treat them, as Parvo is an extremely contagious virus. She is now left on her own to save these puppies. Home remedies and some good advice, along with other meds she has to administer on her own. Some of these meds aren't cheap. If you have it in your heart, please try and help these puppies. They're refusing to eat or drink... they will not last much longer without treatment.
