Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter

Buddy

In 45 minutes, stray dogs
can pass you from behind
and forge an unspoken path
of protection along the way,
the entire way.
The morning can change
from dark to dim, to colors
of coral and sky blue
so that by the time
it takes to reach Truman
and Forest even the clouds
can look like train tracks
from here.
